If you are a new applicant who resides in Douglas County, Nebraska, once you have completed and submitted the online application below, your library card will be mailed to you. You will be given temporary on line privileges for 14 days to allow time for you to see what we have to offer and to visit one of our
to validate the account for full privileges. If you provide an email address below, once the application is processed (usually within 2-3 days) you will receive an email with your library card number and a temporary PIN so that you can begin your temporary 14-day on line access immediately!

I understand that I am responsible for returning all Omaha Public Library materials borrowed on my Library card on time and in good condition to avoid fines, damaged or lost fees.
I agree to pay the applicable fines/fees if materials are damaged, lost, or returned late and I understand that unpaid fines and fees may be turned over to a collection agency.
I understand that it is my responsibility to contact Omaha Public Library immediately if my Library card is lost or stolen to prevent unauthorized use.
I understand that it is my responsibility to give immediate notice of changes in address, telephone numbers or email.
I understand that the Library will attempt to contact me regarding items being held for me or items that are overdue, but that such notification is a courtesy and is not guaranteed.
I understand that my Library account is protected by law in the State of Nebraska and that information will not be given over the telephone about my account without my account number and personal identification number (PIN).
